2022 Prompt: "I care for myself by..."

What is Doodle 4 Google?

Doodle 4 Google, also stylized Doodle4Google, is an annual competition in various countries, held by Google, to have children create a Google doodle that will be featured on the local Google homepage as a doodle. And also for fun. The winner's doodle will appear on the Google homepage.

Prize:
Win a $30,000 college scholarship, a $50,000 tech package for your school/non-profit organization, and your artwork displayed for a day on Google.com! Other prizes here.

How do I enter? What do I submit?

Students can work with any materials they want, but all doodles must be entered using the entry form.
  1. Download or print the entry form
  2. Doodle:
Artists create their doodles using any materials they want.
  3. Write:
    1. Doodle description - Write an artist statement to tell us a bit more about what you have drawn and how it represents something that inspires you.

  4. Submit:
    1. Enter the contest.
    2. Entry form doodles: If the doodle is created directly on our entry form, you can either upload them to our site as a .jpg or .png (visit the enter tab) or mail them in (address listed on the enter tab).
    3. Detached doodles: If the doodle wasn't created directly on our entry form, take a high res digital photo or scan of the doodle in good lighting and combine it with the entry form.

Students need a signature from their parent or guardian on their entry form to enter the contest. Make sure all other information on the entry form is filled out as well, including the artist’s statement.
