Positive Discipline is based on Adler’s theory: the belief that the best way to change behavior is from the inside out (internal motivators), through encouragement that helps a person experience the deep need to belong as a social being. It is a philosophy based on treating everyone with dignity and respect.
Instructors Julie Atkinson and Laura Tobias are excited to share their knowledge and experience with the use of Positive Discipline. We believe that when the Positive Discipline vocabulary becomes the familiar language between parents and children, mutually respectful relationships will be built, while also meeting everyone’s needs.
