We are facing a $20,000 budget gap and the Walk-a-Thon is our last chance to close it. Every dollar raised goes directly to protecting what's at risk: para- educators in classrooms, LifeLab, music, art, dance, and field trip transportation for every grade. Any amount makes a difference. If each student raises $50 in pledges, we get there, but we need every single family to be part of it.
Walk or run!
Each grade will have a designated 30-minute session. To keep fundraising simple we are asking for a flat donation not based on laps walked/run. However, to keep kids motivated they can set a goal for the number of laps and will be able to keep track of them on the day of the Walk-A-Thon
Spread the word!
Family and Friends can donate online via your student’s FutureFund page link (set up an account here). If you want to collect cash/checks (payable to Westlake PTA), you can keep track of donations on the pledge sheet.
Prizes
The TK-2nd and 3rd-5th grade classes with at least 90% participation win a dance party — lights, bubbles, and all! The class that raises the most money scores a popsicle party. Every student who raises $50 or more by May 8th is entered to win prizes, and the student who raises the most gets to be honorary principal of Westlake for the day!
